War Gospel
We never voted for this. COPE harder. Guerrilla Literature poetry conceptualized, written and published 6/23/25.
Heaven and Hell are at war again. First for me. Then for you. Then for the many. For the ones who never knew they had anything to lose. Are you prepared for stripped skin and soul? This world is a warzone. I am the soil soaked in screams and sinning. Each prayer I recite is a banner raised, I'll have faith as the hope of the victim dies. How can you stand when the innocent fall? A child’s breath caught between bombs and lullabies. Forget the chosen. Forget the scrolls written in our empire’s ink. There is a new covenant here, Don't let corrupted preachers tell you what to think. You're only chosen through the love of Jesus Christ. Open up your temple and let the King of Kings reside. Christ calls not from Zion, but from within the trembling heart. He says come with simple commands. Come without your titles. Come without your tribe. Come without the blood of your brothers on your hands. I pledge to no parliament of ghosts. Only to Him who overturned the tables. I pledge to no warhawk chieftains. They spin webs of tall tales and fables. I pledge to Him my life and give my word, while the most beautiful angels sharpen their swords. The devils march in jackboots and tailored suits. They baptize bombs for "peace" in its absolute. They paint their hate and dub it with a holy name, but with twisted tongues it's all about the regime change. Their gospel's forged in boardrooms, not upon the mount. And every sermon ends with a body count. Heaven is breached. Hell rejoices. And still a remnant marches. Join us in righteous fury. Be Christ's soldier. It's your holy duty. A blood red killing Lord, He'll come and clear the board. A judgement-bearing God, He'll cut down evil's hordes. A vengeful yet loving King, Hark! The revelations He shall bring. The trumpets they shall ring, The angels they shall sing.
I'm not religious in the slightest and never have been but even when you write things about God and the Bible and stuff I'll still read it to support you and honestly it gives me a good escape from life so I don't mind
