Eternal Salvation
A poem about devotion, doubt, and moral responsibility. Written 12/4/2024 - 12/12/2024.
What is the sacrifice of eternal salvation? Do you know the weight that it bears? The ceiling of the temple is crumbling above us, Yet you still kneel there for morning prayers. The grace of the Father is fried eggs and bacon, The grace of the Father is wrapped up in clothes. For true salvation, we must go there naked, The whip of the devil keeps us on our toes. Green is the color of affluent masters, I watch the rebels go and kiss the wall. Christians are slaughtered by Western heroes, Captain America refuses to hear their calls. Hark! There’s hellfire out of the gameworld. What will you do when you’re not in control? Hark! There’s dystopia away from the small screen. No shovel is big enough to dig you out of the hole. Sir, can you spare your monthly donation? Ma’am, do you care that there’s blood in the streets? Believe me, your words are truly worth nothing. I can’t give the starving dictionaries to eat. What’s more important, your cause or your neighbor? Are they still a neighbor once living inside? Do you have room for the Holy Spirit? Make your body a temple for it to safely reside. Run off the demons like wolves from the doorway. There’s nothing more precious in the field than the flock. We should not suffer the sins of our fathers. We are responsible for the paths that we walk. Will you pay the price for eternal salvation? Follow the lead from the throne set up high. Those who have heard Him experience Heaven. He who rebuked is the one who shall die.
